The Christmas season is so joyful and I love the anticipation of the Big Day. All the hustle and bustle, the music, the cookies, the shopping, the decorations. I love it all. Except for maybe the mall when it’s packed full of people and you can barely move, but I avoid the mall so it’s all good.
For me, I also get to experience the joy of selling on eBay at this time of year. That might sound sarcastic but I’m totally serious when I tell you that I love being an eBay seller at Christmastime! The whole rest of the year I don’t find selling on eBay all that exciting but at Christmastime sales go through the roof and it becomes very exciting. Not only do people buy a lot during this time but they are often willing to pay much more for the things they want (or their children want) than at any other time of the year. So it is thrilling for me to sell, sell, sell during this season.
November and December are prime selling months on eBay and right now I can barely keep up with my listings and shipping everything out. It’s actually been kind of crazy, but it’s so much fun to hear the cha-ching on my iPad after a sale that I don’t mind the late nights and long hours. Although I might be tempted to do the eBay thing just for the pleasure of hearing the cha-ching sound, I am so thankful that it gives our family some extra money so that we can give to others, especially those in need, this holiday season.
But there is a catch. Since there are only 24 hours in a day and I have a very full schedule with three small children, a husband, a home to manage, lessons to plan, homeschooling to follow through on, and hopefully some sleep, adding eBay into the mix doesn’t leave much (if any) time for me to work on this blog. Even though I’m passionate about my blog, I’m actually getting cash money for the eBay gig, so between the two that’s the winner of my time right now.
During the day the children are still working on lots of fun learning activities, including the letter of the week, and I’m snapping a bunch of photos but since it takes so many additional hours to put the posts together I’ll have to wait to get the information out to you. Even though I’ll be preoccupied and slow getting posts up for the next month and a half, I promise to share everything with you as soon as possible. Thank you for hanging in there with me while I joyfully (and sometimes very tiredly) package up all kinds of fun goodies for my eBay customers.
